A word from AFFM’s President

The enlightened policy of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may GOD be with him, to make Africa a strategic priority for Morocco has been a key factor to the candidacy of AFFM to organize the annual conference of Freight Forwarders of Africa and the Middle East Region (RAME) of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders (FIATA).

Thus, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics, The General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM), The Transport Federation of CGEM (FT-CGEM) and the Moroccan Agency for The Development of Logistics, Morocco has been elected at the latest annual congress held in Dublin, as the organizer of the 17th edition of the Africa and Middle-East annual conference (RAME) of FIATA.

This election is  a recognition of the international logistics community for the Kingdom’s efforts in the development of the logistics sector.

The organization of the RAME 2017 conference in Morocco is the result of a fruitful partnership between FIATA and AFFM. This latter covers several areas, including Training, promotion of sustainable logistics, the introduction of FIATA’s licensed international transport documents in Morocco, and the active participation of the AFFM and its members in the various FIATA meetings.

Today, by organizing this international meeting for the first time in its history, Morocco asserts its African leadership and confirms its role as an International Logistics Hub in the Mediterranean area and in Africa.

The 2017 RAME conference scheduled from the 4th to the 6th of May 2017 in Casablanca, will gather more than 500 participants from more than 20 countries under the theme:

"Connect and Achieve with Efficiency and Sustainability".

This meeting will ensure high visibility for the logistics sector in Morocco and will promote opportunities for investment locally and internationally. It will also enable Moroccan logistics operators to make contacts and develop business relations and partnerships with their foreign counterparts.

The organization of this international event will also contribute to this positive African dynamic reinforced by the recent seat recovery of Morocco in the African Union.

The year 2017 will be for Morocco and for the AFFM, an opportunity to emphasize the “Africanity” of the Kingdom.
