About RAME 2017

 

RAME 2017: FIATA’s 17th Annual conference for the Region of Africa and Middle East (RAME) – will be held between the 4th and 6th of May 2017, at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Casablanca, Morocco – organized by The Association of Freight Forwarders of Morocco (AFFM).

Thanks to its privileged geographical position in Africa, its proximity to Europe, and its modern transport infrastructure (Ports, Airports, Motorways, Railway…), Morocco has become a ma-jor international logistics hub in Africa and in the Mediterranean Area.
Both the government and the private sector have defined a strategy (2010-2030) for the de-velopment of the competitiveness of the Kingdom in the logistics sector.
Morocco has chosen Africa and the Middle East as a priority for the development of the Kingdom’s partnerships. This will be done through the Transport and Logistics sector which is the main means for the implementation of this new Strategic Vision for Economic Growth.

The Association of Freight Forwarders of Morocco (AFFM), in partnership with the International Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA) are organizing the 17th RAME conference in Morocco.

The objective of the RAME conference is to gather professionals and experts from international organizations (WTO, UNCTAD, WBG, etc.) and local entities to discuss and exchange about issues related to the development of the transport sector and international logistics within the region.

This meeting will enable freight forwarders to establish contacts and develop business relationships with their counterparts from all over the world. This edition will be under the theme “Connect and Achieve with Efficiency and Sustainability” , and will address several important topics, including:

- Facilitation of International Trade;
- Efficient and Sustainable Logistics;
- Information Technology (IT) ;
- Women’s Involvement in the Logistics Sector;
- Youth Training in Logistics;
